Cherry Creek Trail Bike Route and Details

The Cherry Creek Trail is a local favorite as it starts in the heart of downtown Denver and you can ride on pavement for 42 miles southeast to Franklin, Colorado. There is a small section at the end that is on roads, but the scenery through Denver, around the Cherry Creek Reservoir, and out to the suburbs is divine.

The trail has many turns and offshoots that route you to neighborhoods or local destinations. This is our recommended and fastest route to go from end to end starting at REI down to where the trail intersects with the High Line Canal.

If you are looking for a shorter route, we enjoy going from downtown Denver to Cherry Creek mall. See that route here. We do recommend to explore the trail if you have time!

Please note: Trail can flood during heavy rain.

Safe Riding Disclaimer

Always abide by all State and Local traffic laws, rules and regulations, and practice courtesy and safety in bicycling. You personally assume any risk on the route selected, and understand you are doing so of your own free will without any representation of the safety of the route or other riders.
