Class 3 Cargo Bike product write-up with this disclaimer: There is a steep injury curve if you crash your bike over 20mph, so please be mindful when you have precious cargo on board. Whether riding a Class 1 or Class 3, I typically keep my speeds below 16mph if my kids are on board.
If you are looking for a great Class 3 shorttail cargo bike, this is it. The comfort, reliability, and ease of use from the HSD S11 Gen 1 were only improved with the latest Gen 2 version.
The easy step-on fit, adjustability from the Andros stem, and ability to fold the handlebar out of the way to store the bike vertically on the rear rack or roll it in small SUVs are brilliant. This is certainly a more premium-priced cargo bike, but if you are looking to make a long-term investment with the Class 3 / 28mph assistance, then you can’t go wrong with the combination of Tern Bikes and Bosch eBike systems.
