The 3-speed Cleary Owl is a very unique kid's bike and one of our most popular. The internally geared 3-speed rear hub enables your son or daughter to climb steep hills and move faster on long flats. Benefits are that there are no derailleurs to break, and they can shift at any time instead of only when they are pedaling making it MUCH easier to learn how to shift.
Plus, the Owl’s shifting mechanism is encased in an aluminum shell inside the rear hub. The bike will shift gears smoothly with no maintenance for thousands of miles - regardless of how many times it gets dropped or crashed
Owl Best fit for riders with an inseam of 19" to 23" A rider with a 21" inseam will sit on the Owl with their bottom on the saddle, flat-footed on the ground with the seat at its lowest position. At that same saddle height, riders with 19” inseam will happily sit with only the balls of their feet on the ground. As long as a child has an inseam of 19”, their arms and torso are long enough so they can reach the handlebars comfortably.
