0 Po Campo Roscoe Crossbody Bag

Ever since Po Campo sent out an email a couple weeks back about the new colors in the Roscoe Crossbody bag I’ve been waiting patiently for Quality Bicycle Products to get them instock. I had hoped they would get them in before Frostbike (industry trade show this week) but unfortunately they did not. Maria from Po Campo braved the snow and traveled to Minneapolis this weekend for Frostbike. She was nice enough to bring along a bag for me to buy!I was able to use the Roscoe over the past couple days to carry around my iPad mini, iPhone and other key items (ID badge, charger, business cards, etc.)

Maria saved the day, so thank you!

Roscoe Crossbody Bag

I wouldn’t say this is a cycling specific bag at all, but more of a great looking bag with touches for those that use it on the bike. The color and function are what completely caught my attention and what I’ll be basing an upcoming review on!

Hopefully over the next week I’ll be able to ride with the bag and can give a pretty straight forward review with more photos of the interior pockets.

Disclaimer: I purchased this bag, super stoked on it and reviews (as always) will be based on using/abusing the product to give you the best feedback possible.

Motivational Monday Tianna Meilinger

What’s your name and location?

Tianna Meilinger of Vaya Bags Ridgewood, NY

What type of cycling do you enjoy?

I like going to different bike trails such as Caumsett Park in Long Island. I also love running errands in NYC on my bike. Its really the best way to get around the city. I also commute to and from work at Vaya Bags, where I handmake bike messenger bags.

What is your first cycling memory?

I used to go camping in the Florida Keys with my parents every winter and my first memories of riding were there, on the Behia Honda campsite.

Who inspires you to ride, and better yet WHY?

My good friend Rachel who is a bike messenger in New York City is very inspiring to me. When I get out on my bike in the rain, I think of Rachel hauling ass in the rain, snow, and sleet all winter long.

What has been your best moment on the bike so far this year?

My husband and I rented bikes while on vacation in Lake Tahoe. It was pretty awesome riding around, seeing the beautiful scenery and smelling the fresh mountain air.

Tell us all about your bikes

I have a 1969 Vintage Holdsworth, that I found at a garage sale for six bucks and I love it!
I also have a Specialized Crossroads Hybrid which I use on trails.

Motivational Monday, a Monday tradition at Bike Shop Girl, my goal to keep you motivated and to be striving on the bike even during a hard week or long hours at work. Are you a woman that bicycles? Fill out this easy form and be part of our motivational movement!

Preview: 2012 Bontrager Vella Bag Line

0 Bontrager Vella Bag Line

Bontrager has released a new line of bags called the Vella. Modeling after what many European companies have known for the past few years, women don’t want bags that look like bike bags when they get off the bike. Functional bags with style. My main concerns on these bags are #1 for the panniers it utilizes the Bontrager Interchange specific hardware, rumor is you can switch this out for standard rack hardware but most shops don’t stop that type of things and I can hope the shop doesn’t stock oversized tubed racks. #2 I hope the handlebar bag holds up better than their last attempt 3-4 years ago.
