…:30am this morning I am 75 people away from hitting the 6,000 follower mark. Recently Klout.com sent me a Klout Perk and I’m paying that forward. The 6,000 follower on Twitter will be awarded this:  Now go follow me…

…njoy? road, relaxing, paved trail What is your first cycling memory? Falling off my bike when I was 5, and being so mad at the bike I didn’t ride again for 20 years. Who inspires you to ride, and better yet WHY? There are a lot of women I see around Little Rock I envy and it’s that envy/jealousy that makes me want to ride. And I like the cool wind in my face. What has been your best moment on the bike so far this year? Riding 15 miles

Trail Review: Coldwater Mountain, Anniston, AL

…ood about. The other thing I really liked about our visit to Coldwater Mountain is that there was a great mix of skill levels and types of riders on the trail.  We saw families with kids on scoot bikes on the beginner trail.  We saw overweight adult dudes trying to get back in shape by riding the extended beginner trail.  We ran into guys who ride trails multiple times per week.  Most impressively, there were many more women of varying abilities

…i Felix Boulder, CO WHAT TYPE OF CYCLING DO YOU ENJOY? Mountain Biking WHAT IS YOUR FIRST CYCLING MEMORY? My ten speed when I was like 10? But the one I’ll never forget is when I was roped into going out with 6 or 7 women friends. They lent me their bike and said, “You’ll like it.” I wasn’t so sure. I told them that I would “probably hate it” and that I would meet them back at the car if I only lasted a f…

Race Report: Atlanta AlleyCross

…rders, and a woman who walks her dog while playing violin.  Even if it wasn’t against the rules, the Beltline is so crowded on nice days that usually it takes most of a cyclist’s attention to just avoid hitting anyone. The race brought out a great mix of people–serious cyclocross racers, cyclists who have never raced before, and everyone in between.  The 49 race entrants (including 6 women) showed up in everything from full race kits

…CLING MEMORY? I used to sit on the back of my mom’s cruiser, on the gear rack. We went to the neighborhood store like that until I got my foot caught in the back wheel. Foot in the back wheel is what I remember. After that my parents bought me a kids size Raleigh racing bike. It was red to white fade. Man, I miss the 80s. WHO INSPIRES YOU TO RIDE, AND BETTER YET WHY? My mom, Janet and my coach, Stacey. These two women ride their bikes throu…

2013 Race Planning

…ce from my house, how could I not? SERC XC Series. All over my territory and a lot of fun courses for ’13. Southern Classic XC. Again more centrally located, and many over lap with SERC. The question as the season gets going is to travel more to SERC or stay closer to home for Southern Classic. It may depend on what is going on with work and where in my territory I need to be. 6 hours of Warrior Creek. 4th time may be the charm?? Duo women….

Race Recap: NC CX Charlotte (Humble Pie)

…ar this year and with my workouts dialed I hoped to move up. The course and competition whipped me good. You can say my confidence of improvement was cracked. I also made a bone head decision last weekend to submit an upgrade request. This morning I was greeted by an approval of upgrade. What does this mean? I’m racing faster women, for longer time, for the rest of the season. The upgrade was my main goal this season. Having achieved my go…
