2010 Bontrager Cycling Shoes

In 2009 Bontrager released their first ever cycling shoe line.  After teaming up with Esoles in order to get thousands of foot scans.  The result was a well fit shoe, with replaceable arch support and a bargain compared to other shoes. The line was very in depth with women, men and triathlon shoes.  (Personally, I have two pairs and I love them!)

For 2010 they are going even deeper with the line and adding more color.  The women are staying pretty subtle but the mens line have a lot of orange through out.

Masi Bicycles Women’s Road Line

There’s a take on women’s designed product the basics are shorter top tube because women (most women) have longer legs and a shorter upper body.   The shorter top tube and over all length of the bike allows for easier reach to handlebars, better fitting for someone with those long legs.

Masi has a take that those shorter tubes and steeper angles change the feel of the bike.   Instead they have simply made a couple of their key models smaller, changed colors and most importantly the touch points of the bike.  Touch points are narrower handlebars, seatpost that aren’t leaned so far back, shorter stem and an over all reach on the bike that allows you to use your brakes or shifters correctly.

Welcome the Bellissima line.  Tim Jackson of Masi isn’t sold on the pink, but I am.   Now to sell him on the idea of one model that runs smaller than 48cm.  Allowing our youth to get into the sport at a decent price would be very rewarding.

You GoGirl!

Stumbling along the internet like I do most nights I found a link to “GoGirl” on Twitter. It is advertised as

GoGirl1If you camp, you’ll love GoGirl. If you ski, you’ll love GoGirl. If you boat, you’ll love GoGirl. If you travel, you’ll love GoGirl. If you just want to avoid the germs you find in nasty public toilets, you’ll love GoGirl. GoGirl is for active women of all types and ages.

It caught my attention because how often are you stuck somewhere needing to pee horribly and you simply can’t because we have to drop your pants and squat?  I’m always being told to “use a sissy jar” on the long car trips, on the side of a bike trail somewhere or in a concert somewhere when the line is 30 minutes long.

Shortly I should have one in my hands to see how easy, reusable and thought out it really .s

Harlot Habit Short Preview

1591197644_b7eca9235f_mHarlot Habit Shorts - Size MD, Color Black.

The shorts have an amazing material, stretchy but feel very durable. Sizing they seem to be pretty true & the length is perfect. I am very excited about the fact they didn’t mess with the padded liner that many shorts do. Normally you aren’t happy with the liner and tear it out, or if its built in you are stuck with it.

Back of shorts. Seamless crotch in center.

Shorts have two closures. Velcro and snaps. Easy to take off in a pinch but very secure while in use. The shorts also have belt loops if you want even more backup.

Tidbits from the company :

  • Seamless and unlined crotch.
  • Shell fabric is a stretch nylon/poly with Dryon finish. The Dryon is water and strain resistant.
  • 4 way stretch inseam
  • Available in multiple colors and sizes

The shorts are subtle enough to wear out after riding or I plan to wear them in the shop. The black color is perfect to hide grease and I can commute in to work with them on! Give me a week or so for a good ride report.
