A few months ago I wrote about the bike industry, and especially women’s cycling needs more storytellers. Late last week I received a Facebook message that gifted me exactly that. Facing East isn’t directly about cycling, which to me makes the story even better. It is about using bikes as a tool, and as a vehicle of change.

One of my best experiences in the bicycling industry was working for QBP. The company is pushing barriers and moving things forward. They have taken another large step forward by offering summer internships at their headquarters, for women.

Today’s April 1st, 2016 which means the 30 Days of Biking kicked off.
Reflecting back on the Colorado Bike Summit and I’m back to the question, “Does my city fit me?” My answer is now a strong yes, but I have to go out and make it for myself. My goal moving forward is to help others find or build these active and livable communities through story telling.
