It’s rare that I feel compelled to pay full price for anything in the bicycle industry. I have worked in the industry for 15 years and can call, email or visit almost any company to get a discount. When a product comes out that I feel compelled to pay full price for because of availability or timing, I know it is a special thing.
The folding bike company, Tern, and the cargo bike company, Xtracycle, teamed up to make the most economical and thought out cargo bike I have seen in my time and you can get it on Kickstarter right now.
Their $1,675 model is the most appealing to me. Cargo front & rear, folding front, dynamo lights (lights that run off your front hub, no charging or batteries needed), and reflective paint. If the ship date wasn’t April I would seriously be paying for this bike today. A note that they do have cheaper models, in fact they have an all black limited edition model that will be ready to ship by the holidays!
