chamois butter her' review

For any ride over an hour I normally apply a layer of thin cream called “chamois cream” between my chamois and skin. The reasoning is to keep friction low between chamois and body, as well as skin to skin.

Chamois Butt’r Her’ for Women $15.99

As the guys in the bike industry are realizing that women and men aren’t made the same we are seeing more products hit the market that are specially formulated for a woman’s body. Chamois Butt’r Her’ is just this, cream designed to not throw off your pH-Balance while protecting your skin from friction irritation.

The Difference in Her’

The two biggest things I noticed different in the new Her’ and the staple Chamois Butt’r are the smell and the thickness in the cream. The smell has nice hints of Tea Tree Oil and Lavender. The cream is a bit thicker as it comes out of the tube, and seems to wear longer on my skin.

Overall Thoughts on Her’

Thankfully I am not pH-sensitive and have been happily using “guys” chamois cream for over 10 years and haven’t had a problem. This cream does stay put between my chamois and skin much better than many others including other “women designed” creams. The tube is easy to use and a little does go a long way! As I run out of my sample tube I’m pretty sure I’ll be ordering up another tube of Her’ since I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the thickness and natural smell.

If you are having irritation or hooha problems due to other chamois creams you have used – give Chamois Butt’r Her’ a go! $16 for a happy hooha and butt is not bad.
