A couple weeks ago I was chatting with Rob from Mission Workshop about the lack of women’s cycling clothing that I could get off the bike and go into work or a coffee shop. He laughed a little bit and then said to wait a couple weeks.
Rob had up his sleeve the DZR shoes. Stiff, SPD compatible and a gum bottom, use them with clipless or without. Walk into your business casual meeting, or make a statement. Did I mention they have a women’s line?

I really love my KEEN Coronado Cruisers! They look a little bit like Chucks and they have a reinforced section on the ball of your foot where the pedal would be. For platform pedals and toe clips.
They are super cute, but I don’t see how they are more meeting-appropriate than most recessed SPD shoes…
the women’s offerings aren’t anything i’d be apt to wear, myself. now if they made something more like a cross between a sneaker and a mary jane, i’d be all over that
Yes, you’ll make a statement but I think its good momentum forward and for the casual look you can surely pull it off.
