2011 Raleigh Capri Womens Road Bikes

In August of 2011 we did a full review of Raleigh Capri 4.0, view it over yonder.

Aluminum hydroframed with carbon fork, change the spec and you have three different levels of Raleigh’s new womens road line.   There are some thoughts I walk away with after looking through the line.  First off, I don’t understand the geometry and will look more into it with Raleigh.  I wish they would bring the smaller 45cm through the whole sizes, especially since it has a 495mm top tube!  Until I have more answers, here’s the 2011 Raleigh Capri womens line up…

Raleigh Capri 4.0

A pretty standard price range for the 2011 Shimano Ultegra 6700 womens bikes.  I’m glad to see Raleigh getting into the line, but I’m upset to see the dropped the size 45cm for their top end womens bike.

    Hi Bike Shop Girl,

Just wondering if you would recommend the Capri 2.0 as an entry level fitness bike. I am interested in training for a tri-sprint , maybe even a tri, next summer. I cannot find any reviews!

    Thanks,

    Dana

    Dana,
I’m digging a few up for you to check out. And I know that there are more in the works. We recieved product in late fall/early winter so reviewers are just getting around to posting their thoughts.

PS…the 45cm is across the line. We have it for all Capri models. I don’t know who got you your info… ;)

I am also curious to see the reviews for this product. The bike feels great and looks great, but I like to see what people have to say about it after extending use not just riding around the parking lot.

Thanks anyway, I actually found a bike that fits me on craigslist. I’m now the proud owner of a 2005 specialized alleze elite triple. Looking forward to the day that I can justify an extra $1,000 to get a brand new women specific bike for that perfect fit. The top tube is always too long on unisex bikes. :c
