Grease Monkey Wipes : Intial Review

Grease Monkey Wipes : Intial Review

There is a buzz online about a couple different individual packaged wipes.  The first one we are going to talk about and get into a review is Grease Monkey Wipes.  Designed originally for cyclist these degreaser wipes claim to even clean crayon off the wall.

Grease Monkey Wipes utilize an all natural, sustainable citrus formula that harnesses the power of Mother Nature to handle heavy duty cleaning. Our wipes clean without the use of harsh chemicals or environmentally, unfriendly solvents.

Grease Monkey WipesMy first use of the Grease Monkey Wipes was during a degreasing of my chain and cassette using a product, El Duke Degreaser, that is under review at Commute By Bike.  As you can see from the video below you can see the total time to clean up my moderately greasy hands took 1 minute and 18 seconds.   A few things you can’t tell from photos or a video is the smell and feel of the wipes.

Smell : Using a citrus base the wipes of course smelled..citrus.  It wasn’t an overwhelming smell but pleasant.
Touch : The wipes feel much like baby wipes, the kind that are fuzzy but with a plastic base.  They feel strong and I’ll test out their strength as I clean my chain off with them under my next test.

Final Thoughts :

These wipes will be very handy for your saddle bag to use after you change a flat or put your chain back on. They are individually wrapped so as sustainable as they claim the waste is high if you use them often.  I wish they would make something in a bulk form, much like a baby wipe, that you could keep in your shop or throw in a small zip lock, reusable, bag.  As I mentioned I’ll be putting the wipes under various test including chain cleaning, crayon lines off the wall and anything else you guys could come up with.

Tim at Grease Monkey Wipes added a discount code for my readers (I do not get anything from this)
Get up a 15% discount for them at our store: Just use code ‘shopgirl’ at checkout.

This product was given to me at no charge for reviewing.  I was not paid or bribed to give this review and it will have my honest opinion or thoughts through out.

Hi this is Tim with Grease Monkey Wipes. Would like to thank you for your review and let your readers know that we have set up a 15% discount for them at our store:, just use code ‘shopgirl’ at checkout. Our wipes are made of a recyclable material and the cleaning formula is non-toxic and sustainable, unfortunately a by product of convenient, portable individual packaging is some waste. In the future we hope to combat this by offering the wipes in other form factors. Thanks and enjoy the ride.

A point to make—-you have a wipe that will clean then into the waste can.
Others sell a gell for cleaning that does clean BUT then you have to get a cloth or water to get rid of it
      Yours is “all in one”
      Great job on S-T tonight

Congratulation to Grease Monkey Wipes. I hope more marketing experts exert efforts like this to help people with great ideas like the Shark Tank TV Show ( that provide financial assistance and expert’s advice to small entrepreneurs, which is great for the economy.
